We began with a basic introduction to 3Ds Max, the interface of which I found difficult to navigate having never used it before. The first task involved modelling a fry up in 5 minutes, which ended up looking fairly unconvincing (my plate and fried egg weren't too bad). The next task, a laptop, was much easier and I was happy with the result; though this is mainly due to it being comprised of solely rectangles.
Unfortunately I don't have any evidence of the fry up or laptop, but here's a more accurate sausage I modelled later...

The exposure to Sketchup and Geolocating in Google Earth. has given me an insight into how the different packages can interact and I've enjoyed playing around with these tools; I can see how they could be useful.
