Here are the slides from my pitch this week:
It went pretty well - I didn't really receive any criticism - or much other feedback for that matter; so I'm not sure if this is a good or bad sign...
But, I was basically told though to get a move on and to start experimenting (I agree, there's lots to do). I'm going to start by getting my hands on all the equipment I might need this week so I can start producing more paper:
Paper scraps (I'm going to use some of our recycling and ask around to see what I can get)
large-ish basin or tub
Deckle and mould (I already have this, but would like to try out making some more of different sizes with different screen materials).
Sizing: this is added to pulp to prevent bleeding (if I'm to use ink). Might not be necessary to use with scraps of already sized paper. But I can use starch.
Couching - a cloth material used for the drying process to absorb liquid
Andrew Connor also suggested checking out 'Fears of the Dark' (2007) as he saw tonal similarities, so I'll watch this!
